Imagine a Different Kind of Care
Imagine a different kind of healthcare — one where your practitioner has the time to truly listen to your most pressing needs. A type of care that doesn’t stop at treating symptoms but instead builds an environment that supports you as you are today and as you may be in the future. What if, instead of spending your life savings on an assisted living facility or nursing home, you invested just a fraction of that cost to live comfortably in the place you love most: your own home?
The financial burden of health crises is staggering. In 2025, the average hospital stay in the United States costs over $13,000 per admission. Treating a broken arm can range from $2,500 for non-surgical care to $16,000 or more if surgery is required. A broken hip or hip replacement averages around $28,000 in the U.S.. And these figures don’t even account for the cascade of follow-up doctor visits, therapy sessions, and rehabilitation costs that often follow such injuries. Beyond the dollars, these events bring avoidable pain, suffering, and disruption to daily life.
Now consider the long-term alternatives. In 2025, the average annual cost of a nursing home exceeds $111,000 for a shared room, while assisted living averages over $62,000 per year. These expenses can quickly drain families of resources. By contrast, thoughtful home modifications and accessibility solutions often cost only a fraction of that amount — yet they can provide the safety, independence, and comfort that allow you to remain where you want to be.
Imagine a space where you feel safe, engaged, and comfortable; where you can continue participating in the routines and activities that make you feel like yourself. Managing health changes is an overwhelming task that everyone will face in their lifetime. BridgePoint Accessibility exists to be your liaison — answering questions, providing clear guidance, and shedding light on the potential for you or your loved one to live in a home that truly supports your needs.
Our Story
BridgePoint Accessibility was founded by Collin Hernandez, an occupational therapist from Saint Amant, Louisiana, with a simple but powerful vision: every individual deserves the opportunity to participate fully in meaningful activities, in an environment that supports their needs.
Collin’s years of clinical practice revealed a troubling gap in the healthcare system. While practitioners strive to provide the best care possible, the realities of billing and patient volume often prevent them from addressing one of the most critical aspects of a client’s life — the home environment. This is where people spend the majority of their time, and yet it’s often overlooked when it comes to safety, independence, and comfort.
BridgePoint was created to bridge the gap between healthcare and home modifications. Our mission is to be the single easiest point of entry for all accessibility needs — whether that means adapting a home through thoughtful modifications or providing guidance on simple and complex medical equipment.
