We begin by understanding the person, their goals, their abilities, their environment, and the challenges they are experiencing. From there, we explore options and help determine what solutions and level of support make the most sense.

Sometimes a few simple recommendations are all that's needed. Other situations may involve equipment, home modifications, contractor coordination, or ongoing project support.

Our goal is always the same: to help you find the right solution—not simply the biggest or most expensive one.

Accessibility Consultations

An accessibility consultation is the starting point for most BridgePoint clients.

Using an occupational therapy perspective, we look at how a person's abilities, routines, goals, and environment interact. We consider both current needs and anticipated changes in function to help identify solutions that are practical, appropriate, and sustainable.

Depending on the situation, an assessment may address:

• Accessibility and safety throughout the home

• Entryways, exits, and outdoor spaces

• Bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchens, and other living areas

• Mobility and transfer needs

• Bathing and toileting equipment

• Assistive technology and smart-home solutions

• Medical and mobility equipment

• Vehicle and transportation accessibility

• Community access and participation

• Current barriers and potential future needs

• Home modifications and other environmental changes

The goal isn't simply to identify what's wrong. We help you understand your options and determine what will actually work for the person and the way they live.

Virtual Accessibility Consultation — $275

A virtual consultation is appropriate when an in-person visit is not necessary or when distance, scheduling, or other circumstances make a virtual assessment more practical.

Virtual consultations may include discussion of your concerns, review of photographs or videos, assessment of available information, exploration of potential solutions, and development of individualized recommendations.

Your consultation includes a comprehensive written report outlining our findings, recommendations, and suggested next steps.

In-Person Accessibility Consultation — $400

An in-person consultation allows BridgePoint to directly evaluate the environment and observe how a person interacts with their surroundings.

This may be particularly helpful when accessibility concerns involve mobility, transfers, bathing, entrances and exits, home layout, equipment placement, or other physical environmental factors.

Your consultation includes a comprehensive written report outlining our findings, recommendations, and suggested next steps.

A travel fee may apply for locations outside of BridgePoint's standard service area. Any applicable travel fee will be discussed with you before scheduling.

What You Receive

Every initial consultation is designed to provide you with something tangible that you can use to make informed decisions.

Following your assessment, you will receive a comprehensive written report that may include:

• Summary of the concerns and goals discussed

• Findings from the assessment

• Identified accessibility and safety barriers

• Recommendations tailored to the individual's needs

• Equipment or technology recommendations when appropriate

• Home modification recommendations when appropriate

• Considerations for current and anticipated future needs

• Suggested next steps and resources

The report can also serve as a useful resource when communicating with family members, healthcare professionals, contractors, builders, equipment providers, and other professionals involved in the process.

Additional Consulting & Project Support

Some clients receive their report and have everything they need to move forward independently.

Others want BridgePoint to remain involved.

Additional consulting and project support is available at $100 per hour, billed in 15-minute increments. This allows you to use BridgePoint's expertise only as much as you need it.

Depending on your situation, additional support may include:

• Exploring and comparing accessibility options

• Researching or evaluating equipment

• Obtaining and reviewing contractor or vendor quotes

• Communicating with contractors, builders, and equipment providers

• Coordinating equipment or accessibility-related services

• Reviewing plans or proposed modifications

• Providing accessibility-focused project guidance

• Conducting follow-up visits when appropriate

• Helping resolve accessibility concerns that arise during a project

• Providing additional recommendations or documentation

You are never required to purchase ongoing services. If your needs are met after the initial consultation and report, you can move forward independently.

For larger projects, new construction, extensive renovations, or ongoing professional consultation, customized project or retainer arrangements are available. Pricing is discussed based on the scope, duration, and level of involvement needed.

BridgePoint's role is not to recommend the most expensive option. We explore the available options and help you determine what is appropriate for the person, the environment, and the goals you are trying to accomplish.

When contractors, builders, equipment providers, or other professionals are involved, BridgePoint can help you understand the accessibility-related decisions being made and ensure that recommendations are coordinated with the person's actual needs.
