• During the consultation, clients and families may be asked to move the camera to different areas of the home, demonstrate mobility challenges or transfers, and take simple measurements.

• After the visit, you’ll receive a comprehensive recommendation report. This report is reviewed with you before case closure and delivered by email or USPS.

• At any time, you may choose to tier up to a more comprehensive evaluation or project support if desired.

Flat Fee of $275

Our most comprehensive evaluation, designed for those who prefer a hands‑on approach.

• Includes a home visit by a licensed occupational therapist who is a Certified Environmental Access Consultant and holds an Executive Certificate in Home Modifications, to conduct a thorough client and home assessment.

• Allows for direct observation, precise measurements, and real‑time evaluation of mobility and environmental challenges.

• Following the visit, you’ll receive a comprehensive recommendation report, reviewed with you and your family before case closure. The report is delivered via email or USPS.

• If further assistance is needed, clients may tier up to additional services such as obtaining contractor quotes, vendor consultation, or full project oversight.

Fee is $400

• Travel Included:Visits within 20 miles of our office are included at no additional cost

• Extended Travel:for homes beyond 20 miles, a modest mileage fee of $1 per mile applies

This service provides comprehensive management and oversight following your initial accessibility assessment, ensuring your project is executed accurately and efficiently by third-party vendors.

What This Service Includes

BridgePoint acts as your accessibility advocate and project liaison, handling the crucial coordination with contractors, builders, and remodelers. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Obtaining Quotes: Managing the process of collecting and evaluating quotes from prospective contractors.

• Detailed Plan Review: Conducting in-depth reviews of the project's recommended plan with all involved vendors to ensure full adherence to accessibility standards.

• On-Site Reviews: Performing site visits with contractors to monitor progress and verify installation accuracy.

• Continued Availability: Providing ongoing support and availability throughout the entire course of the accessibility project.

Pricing Structure & Billing

This level of service transitions to billing at an hourly rate. Initial assessments are billed at a flat rate ($275 for virtual, $400 for in-person), while further coordination and oversight is billed at an ongoing rate of $100 per hour.

*Note that billing is calculated in 15-minute increments ($25 per increment) to prevent overbilling.

*Clients can request a Service Cap - which sets a maximum number of service hours allotted. Client’s will stay informed of hours billed to prevent surprise billing.

Flexibility & Scope

• Client Control: You are not locked in to continued service. Clients can request the cancellation of hourly consulting services at any time if they feel they can oversee the remainder of the project independently.

• Tailored Involvement: This model is designed for flexibility—it’s perfect for clients who desire a hands-off approach and for those who prefer to be personally involved in every decision.

• Scope Limitation: Consulting is strictly limited to accessibility-related parts of a project (e.g., ramp construction, accessible bathroom modifications). This ensures that you are not billed for skilled services outside of the accessibility consultant’s scope (e.g., non-accessibility design features, general color choices).

This service utilizes the clinical expertise of a Certified and Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to evaluate your specific medical needs and provide comprehensive support in obtaining necessary equipment, such as mobility aids, durable medical equipment (DME), or custom seating systems.

Understanding Our Private-Pay Approach

As a private-pay consultant, BridgePoint does not bill your health insurance directly. This offers a specialized, client-focused experience that bypasses the limitations of traditional in-network providers.

• Dedicated Advocacy: You receive dedicated time focused solely on your case, including drafting clinical documentation (like a Letter of Medical Necessity) and coordinating with your physician for the required prescriptions.

• Navigating Insurance: We provide the necessary documentation to work with in-network equipment vendors. While we are private pay for our consulting time, the goal is to position you to obtain the equipment itself through your insurance coverage. This is not guaranteed and depends entirely on your insurance plan's specific rules and medical necessity parameters.

• Managing Complex Cases: Our service includes professional representation during time-consuming insurance denials and the appeals process, ensuring your case is presented clearly and completely.

Important Note on Alternatives: Therapists who are in-network with your insurance can often perform these evaluations and bill your insurance directly. Our private-pay service is an elective, boutique option for those seeking specialized, intensive, and highly flexible support.
